I always begin cake smash sessions with a few classic portraits. With a soft, neutral background and minimal distractions, these images are all about capturing your little one just as they are, bright eyes, curious hands, and that signature one-year-old grin. Camp-Inspired Cake Smash Fun
Logan’s birthday theme was “ONE Happy Camper,” and the setup brought all the cozy camping vibes to life. A woodland-inspired background set the tone, paired with soft textures and natural tones. Logan wore a deep brown romper that fit the theme perfectly, and the custom cake, with the cutest marshmallow face, was a hit from the very first bite.
Ending with a Splash
To wrap up the celebration (and clean off the frosting), we moved into the splash portion, a bubbly soak in a vintage mini tub. This is not only adorable but also gives me a chance to capture playful, lighthearted images while your little one enjoys splashing around. Logan had an absolute blast, and the tub was the perfect way to end the session on a high note.
